Gastro Dori

uhmmm... some days vacations just aren't meant for schedules... so we missed the
tsukiji market (return to market Thursday early AM).

Day 3.5
Rain
The kind of weather that makes you wish you would had brought a slightly heavier jacket.  But when it's going to be 114 F in Bangkok you just don't want to pack much more than your favorite handful of Speedos. Chilly with rain today. And a pleasant 4 mph rain blowing wind out of the North West.

Today's post is dedicated to Mr. Greg Null who lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas, but has a global palette that makes him think he's the South's Anthony Bourdain.

Kyoto Bullet Train Lunch from the Jr Station in Tokyo

Seaweed

A Cornucopia of bites. Including a Fish Cake that was so good it would make you weep.

Lunch at Takashimaya Department Store in Kyoto.

Oh Mama.

A squash dream.

Eggplant. Super Eggplant!

Dinner in the alley of Pontocho-dori.

A vegetable feast.

Japanese Fried Chicken. The best.

Cultivated sushi.

The calming ginger.
Greg enjoy your lunch today.

We're off to the shrines, temples and a meal that's supposed to redefine eating.  That can only mean one thing...  More food photos with an occasional temple shot.
